L’Oréal Paris x Balmain review
Hey guys,
In this blog I am gonna talk about the L’Oréal Paris x Balmain lipstick
collaboration which is the most edgiest drug store collection
of all time .The collection debuted during the Paris fashion week in September
2017 and was launched in India in January 2018. I was pretty excited to try out
this collection . Balmain is the edgiest
French fashion house, While its outfits may not be easily accessible but these
lipsticks are. And Speaking about the L’Oréal its one of my favourite drugstore
brand. Their infallible and true match collections are my favourite.
Every colour is
linked to the model wearing it in the campaign. All the models have different skin tones,
It’s nice to see a drugstore brand be inclusive of all skin tones, from
lightest to deepest. Besides, it’s also handy that you can see which colour
would match your own skin tone perfectly. Also as we
see Balmain’s own Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing, featured in the campaign
which shows his efforts to make this collection.
The French label’s
creative director , Oliver Rousting said in a statement to WWD, “L’Oréal paris and Balmain share same strong vision of femininity and the
same goal to, empower women and offer them diverse ways to express themselves”.
The collection is available in 12 shades from
nudes to blues and purple, each priced
at ₹1050
each.

Riche Matte Lipstick -356 Confidence.
·
L'Oreal Paris Balmain Limited Edition Color

·
L'Oreal Paris Balmain Limited Edition Color

It
was originally priced at ₹ 3050 but after discount it was
available at ₹1999.
Packaging
These
Lipsticks are designed to embody three themes each of the theme consists of 4
colours.
1. The Glamazon Tribe (green packaging): This
theme celebrates fierceness
2. The Couture Tribe (black packaging):
Balmain wouldn’t be Balmain without including a glamorous tribe into their
collection. This Tribe is said to be a celebration to
Balmain’s historic Parisian couture origins.
3. The Rock Tribe (blue packaging): This
theme celebrates breaking the rules.
It seems Balmain was
going for a luxe look to the packaging, no doubt it seems to be very luxe but
it is very light in weight and is made up of plastic. The packaging has a swirly marble design to it
with gold detailing, on the cap of the lipstick you get the Balmain logo in beautiful
gold letters and in the middle of the
lipstick, you get the L’Oréal Logo.
