                                                             Delhi Collage of Art

A grand retrospective show was organized at Delhi Collage of Art where the audience got an opportunity to witness the memorable journey of its founder-principal Ashwani Kumar Prithviwasi.

On his path, Mr Ashwani came across a lot of struggles but he also cherished moments of success. While talking about his journey Ashwani said, in 1996 there were only five institutes of fine arts, two government, two semi government and one private. At that time many people who wished to learn arts didn't get an opportunity to pursue their interests. Some were occupied in jobs while others had age limitations. At that time on 17th August 1996 a new institute was launched with the initial name of Ashu Rangshala with just a single student in Uttam Nagar, Delhi. Gradually the numbers started increasing. Mr Ashwani did a lot of efforts to make people aware of the immense possibilities in fine arts. In 2001 this institute transformed in to a professional one. Regular courses were prepared and admission dates were finalized. Afterwards, academic calendar for activities like Annual event, tours of art galleries, interaction with renowned artists, visit to their studios and outdoor classes, all became a part of the curriculum.

Mr Ashwani told that he didn't consider the age of his students at the time of enrolment and maximum knowledge was imparted in the initial year of the course.12th pass students could join any of his courses. For working people, all classes used to be organised on Sundays which was quite different from other institutes. Mr Ashwani himself had been enrolled for Art courses for 12 years and had garnered a vast experience. He started studying formal courses from 1990. His journey started after doing BFA course from College Of Art.
The alumni of this institute are doing well these days.

7000 students have passed out from here till date which includes people from forty countries. Some are running their own art institutes while some others are freelance artists. As of now, Delhi Collage of Art has many branches. This institute got its present name in 2001 which is inspired from the collage of Picasso. This institute gives equal opportunity to well off as well as poor students. Almost 100 poor students have been taught free over here and they are doing well today.

This has happened for the first time In India that a private institute organised a foreign tour for its students. Almost forty students were sent to Paris and they got to see the beauty of Monalisa. Students also got opportunity to visit Rome and Milan in Italy for better exposure. This is an annual affair. Annual Tours to biggest museums of the country also started which include tour of Rajasthan, Ajanta Ellora, Khajuraho and Sanchi Stupa.

Most of the art exhibitions of this institute are organised in Lalit Kala Academy. Annual fest are organised at FICCI, Sai and Kamani auditorium. For the first time in history, this institute has awarded BC Sanyal Award and Lifetime achievement award to renowned artists like M. F. Hussain, Krishna Khanna, Manjeet Bawa, Ram Sutar, Jatin Das, Anjolie Ela Menon, Anupam Sood and Niren Sen. This institute has felicitated sixty artists. No other institute had been able to achieve this feat. Ashwani hiself is a renowned artist. In 1999 an exhibition of Ashwani’s mirror paintings was organised in Gurgaon. It was the first time in the history that mirror paintings were exhibited

                                     Ariel #SHARETHELOAD

When we talk about clothes the first thing that comes to our mind are the clothes we buy and the second thing that comes to our mind is the maintenance of those clothes. The way we maintain our clothes is generally done by keeping them clean and when we talk about cleanliness washing is the very first thing that strikes our mind. But now the question is, which is the best detergent for our clothes?  Now many people think every detergent is the same but let's ask our moms, they will say a good detergent is the one which cleanses with ease and doesn’t wear off the clothes.
As you can read from the title of my blog the best detergent according to me is Ariel.

                           About Ariel

Ariel is a marketing line of laundry detergents made by Procter & Gamble. It is the flagship brand in Procter & Gamble's European, Algerian, Turkish, China, Indian, Pakistani, Japanese, Filipino, Mexican, Brazilian, Chilean, Argentinian, Peruvian, Ecuadorian, Colombian and Venezuelan portfolios. In some U.S. stores, Mexican Ariel is available. Additionally, Ariel is also known as Dynamo in Malaysia and Singapore.
Ariel first appeared in the UK market in 1967 and was the first detergent with stain-removing enzymes. It was a high-sudsing powder designed for twin-tub and top-loading washing machines. For front-loading automatics, Procter & Gamble initially introduced "Low Suds Bold Automatic" powder. Though with the increasing popularity of automatic front-loading washing machines, a suitable low-suds variant "Ariel Automatic" was eventually launched in the early 1980s. The mid-eighties saw the range expanding to encompass liquid detergent and compact powder.

The compact powder was originally known as "Ariel Ultra"; and was subsequently reformulated into the nineties as "Ariel Future". This was possibly in response to Unilever's launch of the ultimately doomed "Persil Power", which was seen to damage clothes. Compact powders never proved popular in the UK, so when the tablet variant appeared in July 1999, the compact version disappeared. In 2003, Ariel brought out its quick wash action to its detergents, to allow consumers to be able to do their laundry on a quick wash cycle.

              #SHARETHELOADCAMPAIGN

This was all about Ariel, and now you must be wondering why am I writing this blog as I am a beauty and fashion influencer so talking about detergent is quite weird.

So I heard about this #sharetheload campaign and I was so intrigued by the whole the concept that I thought of sharing it with my readers.

This campaign #ShareTheLoad was founded on the burning issue of gender equality, throwing light on some daily activities that the contemporary professional women are indulged in. We all know that women do all kinds of jobs from being the head of a multinational company to washing utensils at home, women have stepped into every shoe. They have broken all kinds of barriers but when it comes to men they are still in their comfort zone, they still think they are not suitable for household work. So with this campaign, we are trying to create more space for men and together let's break the myth that only women can do household work.

So with this campaign, we are taking a step forward and asking all men to share the load with their mothers, sisters, and daughters. So to take the step further I ask all the men out there to help by washing clothes with our trusty Ariel.

Watch the below video to understand more about the campaign.

So with this campaign, I want to ask all the mothers  Are you teaching your sons what you’re teaching your daughters?  Sons, #ShareTheLoad

Also, I Received this #HamperOfEquality by @ariel.india which shares an important message that not only daughters but sons should also #sharetheload. Thank you, @ariel.india , for making laundry a fun activity that everyone at home can do, without the responsibility falling on a single person's shoulders.
